It was a winning weekend for the Eaton School Spartans on January 18th.  The Spartans attended the Leader Saints home tournament in Leader and were victorious in both the boys and girls categories.

In the Senior Boys' competition, the first game was against the Leader Saints.  In this first game, the Spartans pulled out to an early lead and maintained it the entire game to earn a 92-33 victory.  In their second game, the boys faced off against the Maple Creek Rebels.  The game was a close back-and-forth match for the first quarter, but the Spartans managed to pull ahead in the second quarter, to eventually earn a 76-36 win.

In the Senior Girls' competition a combined Spartans-Saints home team faced a determined Maple Creek Rebelles in their first game.  While the Rebelles were fierce competitors, the Spartan-Saints were victorious with an 86-48 win.  In their second game the girls faced off against their old rivals the KCS Cobras.  Today was the Spartans-Saints day as again they earned a victory over KCS to win the game and tournament.

With the two tournament wins this was a great weekend of basketball for the Spartans and the Spartan-Saints.  Congratulations to both teams on well-played games.
